The Resources feature in T6 allows administrators to manage application translation languages directly through the PowerPlanning native panel, without requiring code deployment or server restart.
Previously, translations were compiled with the application, making any language addition or customization dependent on a new release cycle. With this feature, authorized administrators can add new custom languages, update existing translations, and remove languages no longer needed — all immediately and centrally.
The panel displays all available languages, including both native languages (English, Portuguese, and Spanish) and any custom languages loaded by the organization.
To access and use the Resources panel, the user must be in a Global Group with the following Administrator Feature enabled:
Upon update, this permission is automatically granted to all active multi-app administrators.
The Resources panel offers four main capabilities:
Translation template download — available for native languages (English, Portuguese, and Spanish). Allows downloading a pre-filled Excel file as a base for creating a new custom language;
Custom language upload — allows loading an Excel file with translations for a new language. The language is automatically identified by the filename and translations are applied immediately, without restart;
Download existing custom language — for already loaded languages, allows downloading the Excel file with the currently stored translations, making edits and updates easier;
Custom language deletion — removes a custom language from the database after confirmation. Base languages cannot be deleted.
Base languages (English, Portuguese, and Spanish) cannot be replaced by upload or deleted.
In the T6 main menu, click the menu icon (☰) in the top left corner, expand the Settings section and select Resources:

After uploading a new custom language, users can change the system culture to use the new language, without requiring a restart.
The application will automatically reload to reflect the newly selected culture, and the custom language translations will be displayed immediately.

It is also possible to customize languages that do not contain characters similar to the base language, such as Japanese (
ja), using a base language template and editing the translations as needed.

No. Translations loaded via upload are served immediately by the application, without requiring a restart or new deployment.
No. Base languages are protected and cannot be overwritten by upload or deleted through the panel.
The application automatically detects that the saved language no longer exists and falls back to English on the user's next session.
The language code is extracted directly from the filename. For example, when uploading the file fr.xlsx, the system registers the language with the code fr (français). Make sure to name the file with the correct culture code before uploading (e.g.: de.xlsx for German, it.xlsx for Italian).
Language codes with more than 10 characters are rejected by the system.
The permission must be enabled in a Global Group, on the Administrator Features tab. Refer to the Features and Permissions page for more details.
The DOWNLOAD button remains disabled until a target language is selected in the Language field of the sub-panel. Select the desired language and the button will be automatically enabled.
